“A Message for the Anti-Judgmentalism Crowd”
John 7:24
Some examples of Jesus talking about judgment or making a judgment; Matthew 7:1-7 & 21-23; Matthew 15:1-9 & 15-20; Matthew 19:8; Matthew 23:1-33; John 7:24; John 8:9-11 & 8:42-45; John 9:35-41; John 12:47-48; John 14:6; John 16:8 and many more. There is a growing movement within the religious world that it is wrong to judge anyone for any reason at all. My logical question to that is, then how does one teach the Gospel? Doesn’t the teacher have to first make a judgment to whether the person being taught has been saved? In Acts 19:1-7 there is an example of Paul passing through and inquiring of individuals concerning their salvation. Was he in error for doing such? On the contrary the individuals had been taught error and had not Paul inquired they would’ve remained in a lost state. People often misappropriate John 16:8 saying that the only way someone can know whether they are lost is for the Holy Spirit to convict them. We do not read that in Acts 8. We see Philip preaching Jesus after he had inquired and learned that the Ethiopian eunuch did not know what he was reading (Acts 8:30-38). So the logical answer must be, how does the Holy Spirit convict people today? The answer is the same as He did in the 1st century, through the Gospel. We know that the Bible is inspired by the Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:19-21; Gal. 1:11; John 12:49). We also know that people today are called through the Gospel (2 Thess. 2:14). Rather than the Holy Spirit taking away a persons free will, which He would not do because God is not a respecter of persons (Acts 10:34-35), he convicts sin the same way now as he did in the 1st century, through the teaching of the Gospel of Christ. Therefore, not invalidating the words of Jesus in John 7:24 “Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgement” and allowing a christian to inquire of someone about their lost state and bring them to a knowledge of the truth.  I love you all!

I agree that it's important to teach the Gospel.
