Always in God's Plan

“Always In God’s Plan”
Numbers 26:51

There are some facts that I can never fully comprehend. Every time I reflect on certain truths, I am filled with awe. For instance, the fact that Jesus knows His sheep by name (John 10:3) is astonishing. Even more profound is that Jesus, the creative force of the Godhead (Col. 1:15-16), took on the sins of the world (1 John 2:1-3) and separated Himself from His eternal relationship with the Father and the Holy Spirit to accomplish this (Matt. 27:45-51).

Consider the Israelites: only 70 individuals went into Egypt (Ex. 1:5), yet over 600,000 men of fighting age came out of Egypt (Num. 26:51). Moreover, the church was always part of God's eternal plan (Eph. 3:10-11). It was God's will that those in the church would be considered descendants of Abraham (Gal. 3:29).

So, what do I find hard to wrap my head around today? God told Isaac, “I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven, and will give your descendants all these lands; and by your descendants all the nations of the earth shall be blessed” (Gen. 26:4). When God said that, He included you. Thousands of years before Jesus and thousands of years before now, God knew that those in the church in 2024 would be part of this promise to Isaac. It was always in God’s plan. I love you all!
