Fear in the World

“Fear in the World”
Matt. 10:28

There are a lot of people who make money off of fear. They are fear peddlers. Fear creates more clicks on their websites. Fear creates a more willing public. Fear creates hysteria and drives people to let others make decisions for them. There is no doubt a lot of fear peddling today. But that shouldn’t affect the Christian. “Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell” (Matt. 10:28). There would be much less fear mongering if people respected the person who can destroy both soul and body. When you’re a Christian, you don’t fear death, because it is better for us to die, but better for the brethren to live (Phil 1:21-24). The Christian should understand, “For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Rom. 8:38-39). So clearly the only answer for those who aren’t “in Christ” is for us to be teachers (Acts 8:31) so they don’t have to fear the world anymore. I love you all!
