God's Word Never Fades

Phil. 2:3-8

“Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away” (Matt. 24:35). “All flesh is like grass, and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls off, but the word of the Lord endures forever” (1 Peter 1:24-25). The secular world wants the Christian, or anyone for that matter, to believe that God the Father is nothing more than a wizard in the sky, that His word is full of lies, and the Bible is nothing more than an outdated history book. None of that is true. The Bible is not only more than a history book, but it is not outdated either “For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart” (Heb. 4:12). The Bible has successfully prophesied about the destruction of entire kingdoms (Isaiah 23; Daniel 2), provided instruction that could have prevented human caused epidemics (Deut. 23:12-14),  accurate scientific quarantine information (Lev. 13), food information that would have created a healthier populous in the ancient world (Lev. 11), and a host of other considerations that prove that it truly is the word of God (2 Peter 1:19-21). God is faithful (2 Tim. 2:13), He can not lie (Heb. 6:18), and He has promised that He will judge the world by His word (John 12:48). When someone insinuates you can pick and choose bible verses to follow or that somethings just “no longer apply to us,” you better study for yourself, because you will give an account to God (Rom. 14:10-12). I love you all!

In His service,
Steven Hugley
