Is the Truth Hateful?

“Is the Truth Hateful?”
John 17:17

We live in a soft society. Postmodernism has wrecked western society into believing a lie. Not only that, it has convinced the world they can create their own truth, and if anyone denies what they say, they somehow hate them. So, is the truth hateful? What is truth? This is a question that has been asked since Pilate. However, the answer is simple, easy to understand, and 100% accurate. Jesus said, while praying to God to Father, about his disciples, “Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.” The word of God is the truth. It is the singular truth. It is not hateful. It is the word that leads to eternal life (John 6:68). To deny God’s word is the height of hubris, yet we know that we are to humble ourselves in the presence of God, and He will exalt us (James 4:10). To tell someone who wants to “change their gender” that they are “fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 129; 13-14) is not hateful, it’s love. To tell someone that God made men and women to compliment each other and not to partake in homosexual activities isn’t hate. It’s declaring to them the natural function God intends for them from creation (Rom. 1:24-32). To tell the world that we have to repent and turn from any sin that separates us from God is not hate. It’s sharing the love of Christ (Acts 3:19-21). So is the truth hateful? No, it is the height of sharing the love of God.
