Loving One Another

1 John 4:19
Love has been a buzz word in the main stream media as of late. The only problem is they are not using the same definition of love as the Bible does. We know we are supposed to love, “because he first loved us.” What does that love look like? We can look at the life of Jesus and know that his love for the Father was his highest priority. In Matt. 21 he was concerned how his father’s “house” the temple was being treated. It had been over run by money changers and wasn’t being used properly in terms of its worship intent. Did Jesus love those who were doing wrong? Of course He did, but He did not love them more than He loved His Father. We have to be like Jesus, in the fact that we love our heavenly Father above all other things. His truth will stand when the world is perishing (Matt. 24:34-35). Let us be about the Father’s business and love Him above all else (Luke 14:25-27).

In His service,
Steven Hugley
