“Sacrifice in the New Covenant”
Matt. 11:28-30

Jesus Christ is the perfect lamb of God that was and is the only sacrifice that is sufficient for taking away the sins of the world. “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29) “For the Law, since it was only a shadow of the good things to come and not the very form of things, can never, by the same sacrifices which they offer continually year by year, make perfect those who draw near… For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins… He takes away the first in order to establish the second. By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all” (Heb. 10:1,4,10). Once a person understands that Jesus was the price paid for them, they understand there must of necessity be a response. “He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world” (1 John 2:2). With this concept in mind, please consider the following verses. “Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple” (Luke 14:27). “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, he is the one who will save it” (Luke 9:23-24). “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light” (Matt. 11:28-30). Jesus sacrificed His sinless life for you. Will you sacrifice your sinful life for Him? I love you all!

In His service,
