The Most Difficult Task

“The Most Difficult Task”
Rom. 12:1-2

When thinking about transforming more and more into the image of Christ there are always various roadblocks. For example, we all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Rom. 3:23). However, we are to be conformed to the image of Jesus (Rom. 8:29), who committed no sin (1 Peter 2:22). That means that we have to be able to admit that we are wrong. When we fall short of God’s glory and find ourselves in the gall of bitterness and the bondage of iniquity, we must pray to the Lord that the thoughts and intentions of our hearts will be forgiven (Acts 8:22-24). I personally find this hard. If any of you know me, you know I hate being wrong. However, being conformed to the image of God means that I must humble myself so that the Lord will exalt me (James 4:7-10). You might not struggle with admitting when you’re wrong. However, no matter what you struggle with, your answer is the same as mine. Humble yourself so that God will exalt you. If we fail to humble ourselves, then we will one day be humbled (Matt. 23:12). What is the most difficult task? Humbling yourself before God with your struggles. However, we have comfort. We know that Jesus will carry this burden with us and give us rest for our weary souls (Matt. 12:28-30). I love you all!
