The Necessity of Being in Christ

“The Necessity of Being in Christ”
Rom. 8:1-2

This isn’t so much a bulletin article, as it is a resource. Last week ago, the “homework” I gave in a sermon was to go look up all of the “in Christ” statements in the Bible. Here are a few of my favorites: All the spiritual blessings in the heavenly places are found in Christ (Eph. 1:3), there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ (Rom. 8:1), those in Christ have been set free from the law of sin and of death (Rom. 8:2), those in Christ are now a new creature (2 Cor. 5:17), those in Christ are the workmanship of God (Eph. 2:10), salvation and eternal glory are only found in Christ (2 Tim. 2:10), and we who are in Christ are one body (Rom. 12:5). This is by no means an exhaustive list, but it is a few of my favorite in Christ statements in the Bible. Now one must ask themselves? Am I in Christ? How did I go from being outside of Christ, to being in Christ? I want the Bible to speak. So please read Gal. 3:26-29 & Rom. 6:3-5 and obey accordingly. I love you all!
