Traveling With God

Acts 8:4
As you all probably know, Katie and I have been doing a lot of traveling this week. Our prayer has always been that we take God with us wherever we go and that we build up those around us, but it has hit home more with all of this traveling. We often look at God as being situational. We forget that “The eyes of the Lord are in every place, Watching the evil and the good.” (Proverbs 15:3). We treat God like he is only in our house, town, or church building but our God is omnipresent (Jer. 23:23-24). Where we go, we should always take God with us. I was thinking about the early church, the peoples reactions when they came in direct contact with Jesus, and early christian reactions to being converted. Remember these examples, the Ethiopian went on his way rejoicing (Acts 8:39), Saul immediately began to proclaim Jesus in the synagogues (Acts 9:19), Lydia was faithful to the Lord (Acts 16:15), the jailor and his family rejoiced greatly (Acts 16:34), and the 12 converts in Ephesus went about speaking out boldly in the synagogues, reasoning and persuading the Jews (Acts 19:8). Christianity is a religion the rejoices and teaches WHEREVER the body of Christ is. Be assured Katie and I will miss you greatly Sunday, but we will be with you in spirit as we worship with our family in Salt Lake City. (1 Thess. 2:17-20). I love you all!
In His service,
Steven Hugley
