What Are You Working On?

“What Are You Working On?”
1 Peter 2:21-25
Simple math. Jesus is our example. Jesus was/is perfect (1 Peter 2:22). We are not (Rom. 2:23). So, what are you/we working on? “You know that He appeared to take away sins ,and in Him there is no sin” (1 John 3:5). Not only did he come to take away the sin, he did that so that we may know righteousness (2 Cor. 5:21). So I ask again, what are you/we working on? 9 to 90 we all HAVE to be working on something. Being a Christian requires change (2 Peter 3:9). What leads to change might not be the most comfortable thing (Heb. 5:8-9). Jesus learned obedience through suffering, why are we any different? Suffering can include getting rid of our own personal desires (1 Cor. 9:24-27). Suffering as a christian includes being transferred to the Kingdom to Christ, His Church (Acts 2:47 & Col. 1:13-14) and giving up whatever our personal desires are and growing in Christ (2 Cor. 2:15). At the end of that day, that’s not that bad. Not only is it not bad, it’s worth it (2 Tim. 4:8). I love you all!
