When You Just Can't

“When You Just Can’t”
There is such a thing as a Christian being overwhelmed. Although we are set apart from the world, that does not mean that we are immune to the pressure of daily life. We do not need to think, “Because I’m a Christian, I can’t let people know when I’m struggling.” The difference between the secularist and the Christian, is the way out. “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Phil. 4:6-7). We have help in our times of need. We have an intercessor to help in our times of need (Rom. 8:26). While the world shrinks away from God in their time of need, Christians have a Savior and Lord that has promised the weary and heavy-laden that rest can be found for their soul (Matt. 11:28-30). How is this possible? When one becomes a servant of Christ, they crucify self, take up Jesus’ mission, and look for a higher goal beyond this world (Matt. 16:24-28). The Christian walk is one of perspective leading toward eternity. Are you a child of God? Are you struggling with the weight of the world? Please be encouraged by these words by the Apostle John, “You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world” (1 John 4:4).
