Who is your God?

Exodus 20:3

We know that God’s first commandment to the Hebrew nation was that they should have no other gods. Joshua, years separated from the giving of the ten commandments, struggled with Israel staying faithful to the Lord God. In Joshua 24:14-15 we see him talking about serving the gods (notice the lower case g) or serving the Lord. He made a clear distinction that although other people call themselves god, there is but one Lord and Father God. Israel back in Deuteronomy, well before Joshua, were admonished in Deut. 6:4-7 to teach their children about God and to do it all the time (when you walk by the way, when you lie down and when you rise up). Yet, still Israel fell away. Jesus tells us that we must make the same choice. In Matt. 6:24 he tells us we can not serve two masters. He specifically says, “You cannot serve God and wealth.” This is a warning to us to not allow wealth, or anything thing else, to take the place of the Lord God and become our own personal god. So who is your God? I love you all!
